Recently, I have had a number of calls for my services from existing caregivers.. Interestingly, they need relief, are going on vacation or the services have gotten too big for them to handle alone. When the caregiver has approached the friend/family member/neighbour suggesting they call me, they have been met with resistance. It is hard to invite an "unknown" person into your home and they tend to dig in their heels and say they are "fine".
My suggestion is to introduce me before you need me. Then instead of another stranger coming through the door, I am a familiar face and they can ask lots of questions before they hire me. I am more than happy to set up a 15 minute Introduction Meeting and help pave the way. Have a great day - The Head Helper Susan
